The Seeburger See, also popularly known as the “Auge des Eichsfelds” (Eye of the Eichsfeld), is the largest natural lake in the Südniedersachsen region. Enjoy unspoilt swimming pleasure or observe the species-rich animal world in the protected shore region. In addition to the natural swimming area, a miniature golf course and rowboat rental invites visitors of all ages to have fun. A walking path encircles the lake. In the adjacent restaurants in Seeburg, “Graf Isang”, “Wellenreiter”, “Zum Seeburger See”,“Old Sailor” andthe kiosk on the lake, as well as the “Zu den drei Rosen” in Bernshausen, you can enjoy food and drinks – often with a direct view of the Seeburger See. The newly designed playground and camping site are located in the immediate vicinity of the lake area. Only a few kilometres away is the pilgrimage town of Germershausen.
